Marissa Carter’s determination and success shows no bounds. The woman behind Ireland’s favourite tan – Cocoa Brown – has just launched her brand down under in Australia. Needless to say, itll go down a storm. As Marissa and the team at Cocoa Brown celebrate their unwavering success – soon enough we’ll be able to purchase this magical tanning potion in any corner of the globe – below she shares with us her top tips for applying tan and, what’s more, perfecting the art of tanning contouring.
1. Apply Cocoa Brown by Marissa Carter Gentle Bronze Gradual Tanning Moisturiser RRP €5.99 all over your face to give a nice natural base to your look. Gentle Bronze, like all Cocoa Brown products is oil-free & non-comedogenic so won’t cause breakouts and is kind to sensitive skin too. It will even out your skin tone making it appear as though you have applied a light amount of makeup.
2. Spray a small amount of Cocoa Brown by Marissa Carter 1 HOUR TAN MOUSSE RRP €7.99 on your Cocoa Brown by Marissa Carter Pink Tanning Mitt RRP €4.99, then with your contouring brush dip into the tan and apply as you would if you were contouring with a bronzing powder. Start off with a small amount of 1 HOUR TAN MOUSSE on your brush and build it up for a more intense contouring look. Contour the top of your forehead, underneath your cheekbone and underneath your jawline and chin.
3. Let the tan develop for 1, 2 or 3 hours, depending on how deep you like your tan. Your Cocoa Brown contouring will last 5-7 days with an even fade, just like your Cocoa Brown would on your body.
