Last night Taylor Swift made GRAMMY history,?as the first woman to win the award for Album of the Year twice, and made sure to reference her argument with Kanye West earlier in the week (we cannot believe he went there again) in her rousing acceptance speech: ?I want to say to all the young women out there – there are going to be people along the way who are going to try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame.? This comes after Kanye released a song called ‘Famous’ in which he spouts the line ‘I made that bitch famous’. Nice. Elsewhere it was a big night for Kendrick Lamara who took home five awards in total: best rap song, best rap performance, best rap/sung collaboration, best music video and best rap album.
In other GRAMMY related happenings, Rihanna’s much anticipated performance was cancelled at the very last minute after the star fell ill with bronchitis while Adele struggled through her performance with technical difficulties that made her sound somewhat off key. Of course this was not her fault at all, and she’s obviously flawless so if anyone was to give her a hard time about it, we’d be first in line for a Twitter row. Also, how well did she handle it?
The piano mics fell on to the piano strings, that’s what the guitar sound was. It made it sound out of tune. Shit happens. X
