Gift Guide: Luxury Candles

tea lights

The truth is, if you’re ever at a loss as to what to buy somebody, you can never go too far wrong with a good candle. We’re not sure who doesn’t at least appreciate their warm, atmospheric glow, their soothing scents, even if they wouldn’t necessarily rush out and buy one for themselves. Thus, they make for a fantastic gift idea. As for everyone in the IMAGE offices, we’d greet the gift of a luxury candle with a beaming smile, any time of year. Here are some of our favourites, available in Brown Thomas, Arnotts and other good department stores right now.

Any candle obssessive’s sure to have a few candles knocking about at home. However, what they might not have, is a classy way to put them out at the end of the night. Diptyque Candle Snuffer €22

Memo Paris’ Marrakech Kiss with a gorgeous white tea and jasmine rain scent will make for the perfect addition to any shabby chic, French style home. €45

For something luxurious but very, very affordable, Irish company Purcell & Woodcock‘s range of large glass candles cost just €12.

Neom Organics Tranquility candle, English Lavender, Sweet Basil and Jasmine €36

The ultimate in luxury candles, let us introduce you to Diptyque’s Figuier scented candle 190g, €44. Related to the eau de toilette Philosykos, it intensifies the tree’s qualiies: the warmth of the bark, the freshness of the leaves and the milky sap of its fruit.

For the candle fanatic friend, Jo Malone’s range will bring serious joy on Christmas morning. As for the scent, the choice is yours. Here we feature her giant Pine and Eucalyptus candle with four wicks, €350.

For something a little more affordbale but every bit as luxurious, the new Wood sage & Sea Salt scented candle is the business, €52.

Another showstopping candle to feature as the focal point in any living room, the Manor Christmas Bowl Candle from True Grace, €50 at Brown Thomas. Fill your home with the warmth of this festive scent.

If she loves their world class skincare range, she’ll love the official Creme De La Mer candle just as much. With its sea-inspired scents that calm and comfort, the limited-edition Cr’me de la Mer Candle creates a luxurious escape for your senses, €100.

We’re big fans of Irish brand Max Benjamin here at IMAGE HQ. This travel set makes for the perfect gift, giving you a choice of three scents for just €30.

Another perfect gift idea, this beautifully packaged candle and diffuser combo in Lemongrass and Ginger will set you back €35.

For another Irish treat, Galway’s?Cloon Keen Atelier Christmas pomander candle will fill your home with the most beautiful scent for 60-70 hours. This one has festive notes of orange, clove, beeswax, vanilla and cinnamon, €35.?
