Emmys Best Dressed

By Jeanne Sutton
26th Aug 2014

The Emmys were last night which means Red Carpet Dresses. This year our favourite actresses stuck to a palette of black, red and white and this isn’t the beginning of a penguin bar joke. We pick out some of the standing ovations below. Did we miss anyone?

Julianna Margulies won Best Actress in a Drama last night and she won the Image.ie Best Actress in Dress award.

Michelle Dockery is very good at her job. The simplicity of this Rosie Assoulin dress is just stunning.

You might think those flounces are distracting but we think it’s nice to look at Sarah Paulson and not picture her throwing a whiskey decanter at Lupita.

Yes, Homeland is mental but that is a lovely colour on Claire Danes.

Allison Williams nails All American Girl on a regular basis and this debutante number continues a winning streak.

Gwen Stefani is wearing Versace Atelier and metallics always mean you know where the after-party is.
