Bill O’Herlihy Dies Aged 76

Bill O'Herily

In very sad news this morning, we’ve learned that much loved RTE sports broadcaster Bill O’Herlihy has passed away aged 76. We are currently awaiting more news on his death and will bring it to you as we get it. He died this morning, May 25th, and his death is said to have been sudden and unexpected.

Bill retired from his post as the host of RTE’s football coverage mid July 2014. In the mean time, we’re watching this extended cut of his best bits from RTE, remembering his well known phrase, ‘we’ll leave it there, so’.

RIP to a brilliant man. A legend.
