Bianca Jagger’s quarantine routine involves yoga in the bath

The queen of Studio 54 has revealed what her day-to-day routine looks like living under quarantine, and it’s as extra as we would have hoped

Home-cooked meals and extended periods in front of the TV may sound about as far away from glamorous as you could imagine, but all it takes is an icon to get involved to make it all look a bit more rosy

Bianca Jagger, human rights defender, 70’s style icon, queen of New York disco and Studio 54 legend (I could go on and on here), has revealed what her daily routine under isolation entails, and it’s full of some brilliant tips of surviving the lockdown measures with grace.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Jagger detailed what her day looks like from dawn til dusk under isolation, and we’re thinking of trying out a few of her tips.

Routine

According to her interview, Jagger rises at 6am and reads the papers online, before sitting down at her desk at 9am to work through the day, which she does six days a week. Jagger (70) occupies her time through her Bianca Jagger Human Rights Foundation — she has been a campaigner for various human rights issues for decades, including female genital mutilation, environmental issues and war crimes around the world.

On food delivery days, Jagger spends ‘hours’ wiping down her groceries in the hallway before bringing them indoors. An avid advocate for face masks, Jagger has spoken at length about the precautions she is taking to protect against Covid-19.

Exercise

Jagger, who admits to missing the gym while in isolation, has instead turned her attention to yoga — specifically, in the bath.

“Legs, abdominals, there are all sorts of things I can do in the bath tub — but not balances,” said Jagger in her interview. “Thanks to the hot water, you’re able to do a lot of things that are usually too difficult.” She’s also considering doing a video — wearing a swimsuit — to demonstrate her novel new approach to yoga.

Diet

Jagger, who is gluten-intolerant and a pescatarian, mentioned green tea, matcha smoothies, seeds, yoghurt, and plenty of vegetables as vital parts of her daily diet, and credited vitamin C for her glowing complexion.
