All Men Lust After 20-Somethings

All Men Lust After 20-Somethings

Regardless of their age, ALL men, we’ve been lead to believe, are said to lust after women in their 20s, which hilariously rules out however many single women there are over 30. This can’t be true, can it?

Researchers took themselves over to Finland, (where apparently men are ageist against women, pfft), surveying?12,656 men and women aged 18 to 49 as they sought to learn more about what we all prefer, age wise, in our sexual partners. According to The Huffington Post, they asked each person involved about the age group toward which they were most sexually attracted over the last year, as well as the age group with which they had the most sexual engagement.

Unsurprisingly, women were most interested in men who were of a similar age to them, or older, while men seemed hardwired to be attracted to women in their 20s. Interestingly, even men in their late teens were interested in this particular age group. Whatever the age of the man, it’s this age group that holds their attention.

Apparently, though, we can’t lambaste all men for this pre-programmed behaviour, as it’s just been carried on through our evolutionary processes. It’s science. This attraction hails from man’s desire to reproduce, and of course women in their 20s are in the best position, fertility wise, to conceive.

“The highest fertility has been estimated to occur in the mid-twenties, with a decline after the age of 35. Especially for short-term mating, men show a high interest in fertile women, that is, women in their twenties” say the researchers.

Similarly, the reason women go for older men, is down to our evolutionary biology which sees us drawn towards he who can provide for us and protect us and the fact that men take longer to mature.

As explained by the researchers,?”men mature later than woman and in our evolutionary past, raising human offspring to nutritional independence necessitated bi-parental care.”

And while they may lust after women in their 20s, the men surveyed still dip into older age groups when it comes to their sexual activity, while the women reported similar patterns of sexual interest and sexual activity.
