Clodagh's Kitchen is now offering a Power Me Breakfast for all you eagle-eyed early risers
Clodagh McKenna’s new Power Me breakfast in Arnotts brings the healthy…
Meeting someone for breakfast either devolves into teaming coffee with a dry Danish or throwing caution and cholesterol to the wind with the suggestion of a Full Irish. A good idea after a weekend on the town, a surefire way to unsettle your weekday balance. Now you can thank the gods for Clodagh McKenna’s latest innovation. Her healthy Power Me Breakfast at Clodagh’s Kitchen in Arnotts deserves to be a more than a foodie trend. We found ourselves drawn to this new menu addition earlier this month and on a Friday morning discovered breakfast in town does not mean skimping on healthy ambitions.
The choices on the menu are sparse but more than filling enough. The Green Goddess Juice looks as healthy as its ingredients suggest – mossy spinach, kale, celery, spirulina and cucumber with some apple to sweeten the deal. The Power Me Porridge was simply packed to the palate cleansing rafters with All The Good Things. Ground flax coasted the Macroom pin-head porridge which was infused with goji berries, chia seeds and blueberries. Doused in honey this is a real kickstarter for the weekend, the type of breakfast that will help you keep vague weekend plans. Also, experts are finding that more and more is porridge the best choice when it comes to cereal with research showing it offers a host of cardio-protective benefits and can lower cholesterol. The Super Granola Parfait wins on delightful visuals. Layers of homemade crunchy granola swirl alongside organic Greek yogurt and plump fresh raspberries, the whole ensemble dotted with chia seeds.
All the dishes are gluten free and available at Clodagh’s Kitchen every morning.
