3 cottages to buy in Sligo for €85,000

If you’re considering a move to Sligo, here are three cottages that will suit a small budget.

Whether you’re escaping the city or just tempted by Sligo’s long coastline and stunning scenery, there’s no doubt it would make an excellent place to live.

There’s also some great value property to be found, so even with a tiny budget you can still find something interesting. These three Sligo cottages are all in need of a little refurbishment, but nothing major. With a little love they would all quickly become wonderful homes, and at €85,000 each, you should hopefully have some funds left over to make them your own.

3 Corradoo Cottages, Ballinafad, €85,000

Sligo cottages for sale

This three-bed cottage with beautiful exterior stone work is in need of some aesthetic modernisation inside, but would be ready to move in to immediately. Just half an hour’s drive from Sligo town, yet situated in a beautiful area of countryside near Lough Arrow, it really has the best of both worlds when it comes to the balance between town and country.

Tawran, Cloonloogh, €85,000

This cottage has been recently renovated, with new windows, roof, bathroom tiles and fixtures, dry-lining, and plaster, but it has been left unfinished, allowing the buyer to add their own taste to the property. It has two bedrooms and a large garden to the rear, and its raised position means it has views over the surrounding countryside.

Cloonagh, Curry, €85,000

This picturesque cottage comes with a series of adjacent stone outbuildings on a half acre plot. It also has well tended gardens with a vegetable plot and fruit bushes. The outbuildings could be used as a studio or office space, and there are two bedrooms in the main house. In a remote location away from other houses, this property would be perfect for those who love peace and quiet.
