Monuments around the world pay tribute to the victims of Manchester, Theresa May raises the UK threat level to critical and Melania denies another handhold.
Theresa May last night said the government had raised the threat level from severe to critical for the first time since July 2007. This elevation means ?not only that an attack remains highly likely but a further attack may be imminent?. Soldiers will be immediately deployed to Britain’s streets to support the police. In an operation codenamed Temperer, military officials will patrol key sites and public events.
