The Foolproof Hack You Need For Bouncy, Voluminous Hair

According to Byrdie who are experts on all things beauty, if it’s height and volume that your hair is lacking, there may be one thing you’ve not considered: dry shampoo. Oh, you use it all the time? But what about on wet hair? Tah-dah!

Apparently, it’s the industry secret you’ve never been told. What’s more, it’s one of those tricks that was stumbled on by mistake. In an interview with Byrdie, veteran stylist Michael Duenas explains that there’s more to your bottle of Batiste than prolonging your time in between washes.

“I was out of mousse on a job that required volume, and in a panic I used my dry shampoo. I was astonished at how well it worked… It has just become normal for me now… It all depends on the type of volume I want. I use dry shampoo when I want the hair to look like there is absolutely no product in the hair. So when I am looking for large volume, but an airy, not-so’set-in-place style, dry shampoo is my go-to… Dry shampoo does not have any hold factor to it, just body-building properties,” which is why it works a treat. Read Byrdie’s full interview over yonder. In the meantime, we remind you of some of our favourite budget dry shampoos, available in Boots and most Irish chemists.
