Social Pictures: The Irish premiere of Alien: Romulus

The eighth instalment in the long-running franchise premiered at Cineworld in Dublin earlier this week, and it brought horror lovers out in their droves.

The film, which is set between the events of Ridley Scott’s 1979 Alien and James Cameron’s 1986 sequel, Aliens, hits Irish cinemas on Friday 16 August, but a select few Irish movie buffs got to experience an advance screening in Dublin’s Cineworld.

Starring Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced and Spike Fearn, Alien: Romulus follows young colonists who come across a derelict space station and encounter the horror of the alien creature that is the enduring star of the franchise.

Those in attendance at the premiere included Dillon St Paul, Tolu Makay, and Rick O’Shea, to name but a few.
