IMAGE attended the premiere of F1® The Movie at the Stella Cinema, with plenty of Irish stars in attendance on the night.

There was an undeniable glamour in the air last night at the Stella Cinema, Rathmines, as a star-studded guest list attended the premiere of the eagerly awaited summer blockbuster – F1® The Movie.

Our very own brand-new Formula One driver from Offaly, Alex Dunne, was in attendance, adding a special buzz to the evening as he prepares to make Irish motorsport history (good luck, Alex!). Alex will become the first Irish driver to take part in a Formula 1 weekend for 22 years when he takes the place of McLaren star Lando Norris during Friday’s practice session at the Austrian Grand Prix.

He was joined on the red carpet by well known faces including Carl Mullan and his wife Aisling, recently married Holly Carpenter and her husband Jamie Hunt, Pamela Laird, Carol Byrne, Lorraine Keane and her daughters Emelia and Romy as well as Aimee Fitzpatrick, David Fitzpatrick, Adam Fogarty and Michelle Regazzoli Stone and her husband Mark, to name a few.

Seeing Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, and Javier Bardem on screen was certainly a treat, but it was the homegrown talent that drew the biggest cheers. Irish actress Kerry Condon shines as Kate McKenna, the race director of the fictional APXGP team, and we love to see it.

The F1® The Movie premiere was a night that blended the glamour of Hollywood with Irish pride, and it’s a film we know you will all love. Get your tickets asap!
