The inquest into the death of 24-year-old mother Karen McEvoy told of 'many missed opportunities' to diagnose her fatal infection in the week after she had given birth to a healthy baby girl. She left behind her 3 children and partner, who has said he 'hopes other women's lives will be saved'.
A jury in the inquest of Karen McEvoy, aged 24, today returned a verdict of medical misadventure after hearing two days of evidence in Kildare Coroner’s Court sitting in Athy.
