Kathy Sheridan

Kathy_Sheridan

Kathy Sheridan drifted into journalism about 20 years ago and ?? to her continuing astonishment has spent the time getting a close-up on everything from elections in Afghanistan, the aftermath of €9/11, the south-east Asian tsunami, war in Kosovo and the bleak heart of Chernobyl. ?A lot of her reporting seems to have involved tragedy ???the massacre of children at Dunblane, Omagh, murder trials and many, many funerals. ?The memory bank also includes a few magical days in Stockholm for the Seamus Heaney’s Nobel Prize, an interview with Bill Clinton and Queen Elizabeth’s bow to the rebel dead in the Garden of Remembrance. Not to mention all those election counts without which her life would have been much the poorer.
