Instagram beauty: What not to miss this weekend

Instagram beauty is where it’s at right now. It’s THE place for watching the experts create the best looks, to hear them speak passionately about their favourite brands and to find out the latest launches before they happen. Here are three beauty moments not to miss this weekend…

Alex Steinherr’s Sunday Facial

@AlexSteinherr

Alex Steinherr is essentially Instagram beauty royalty. Previously Glamour Magazine’s Beauty Director, she’s now one of the biggest and most influential beauty voices on Instagram with over 189 thousand followers. Her Sunday facials are unmissable for me – she talks through her weekly pampering session, giving viewers either on Live or on Stories, an insight into her skin routine.

One look at her skin and you’ll understand why she’s become legendary in the skincare arena – it’s flawless. She’s got her own skincare range with Penneys/Primark, and loves the dichotomy of high-end and budget skincare, playing them off against each other with amazing results.

Nikki Make-up’s Sunday Tutorial

@Nikki_makeup

If you like big brows, you’ll likely already know all there is to know about Nikki. She’s worked on some absolutely massive celebrity clients, including Dua Lipa (below) does editorial shoots for Nylon and Elle magazines among others, and in my opinion creates the best eyebrow looks Instagram has to offer.

She does a tutorial every single Sunday which I am always GLUED to, and never ever tap through. She chooses the most stunning models, and even for Mother’s Day did her mam’s make-up, and creates achievable but incredibly beautiful looks using a broad range of products from luxe to mass market.

Katie Jane Hughes’ Every Move

@katiejanehughes

This isn’t an official ‘weekend only’ sort of thing, but no weekend of mine is the same without at least a half hour spent carefully observing Katie Jane Hughes at work on her own face. She’s the queen of skin – she even loves her pores, and more critically, acknowledges that pores exist and aren’t just a figment of our non-filtered imaginations.

This recent glossy eye, matte lip look (below) put Katie firmly and forever into my top three ‘must watch’ accounts on Instagram, and if you claim to love beauty and don’t follow her, what are you doing with your weekend/life?
