The IMAGE team’s party season make-up favourites

With party season now in full swing, team IMAGE share the beauty staples they rely on, from subtle sparkle to fool-proof eyeliner.

The Silk To Set Kajal eyeliner from Hildun Beauty is the softest, darkest eyeliner I’ve ever used. Honestly, it has to be tried to be believed. I have never found it easier to create a sexy eye that lasts all night long. – Dominique McMullan, Editorial Director

As someone who is embarrassingly unskilled at eye make-up, I love this eye wand from Charlotte Tilbury. It’s so easy to apply – you can just swipe it on and smudge as much as you like. The colour is nicely pigmented, too, meaning you don’t have to apply loads. At a recent wedding abroad where I forgot to pack my make-up brushes, it proved a real saviour, as I was able to just dab some on, use my fingers to even it out and I was good to go, so it would be ideal for a quick look as you’re heading out. – Megan Burns, Editor, IMAGE Interiors; Deputy Editor, IMAGE

Picking just one festive season essential proved an exceptionally difficult task, but ultimately it came down to the product I wear most this time of year – red lipstick. I’m decidedly unskilled when it comes to makeup but a slick of MAC Ruby Woo and it looks like I’ve spent hours in front of the mirror. It’s the lazy girl’s superhero! – Sarah Finnan, Deputy Digital Editor, IMAGE.ie

I am a sucker for sparkle season make-up and tend to lean into all things glittery and shiny at this time of year. My favourite product to really bring my eye look to life is the Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow. I’m obsessed with how long-lasting it is and it just adds a stunning iridescence to my eye make-up. It also works beautifully as a bold highlight if you want to go all out! – Meghan Killalea, Branded Partnerships Marketing Account Executive

I don’t wear a lot of make-up so for the holiday season, I opt for subtle but glam touches to add to my beauty routine. I love this plumping lip gloss by Charlotte Tilbury! Its peachy shade looks great over a nude, pink or bold red lip and it adds flecks of gold for a sparkly, fully plumped look. – Shayna (Sappington) Healy, Branded Content Editor and Wedding Editor

Two staples I couldn’t live without for the party season are a red lip and a sparkly eyeshadow. I have been loving a darker red lip recently and Blood Moon from Kash Beauty has been my go-to. It is deep and rich in colour and suits so many skin tones too. Over the last year Space Cowboy from Urban Decay’s Moondust range has been the hottest eyeshadow in town. However, Rebel Star from the same collection has stolen my heart. It is the perfect pink shade! You will see me wearing it at every opportunity throughout sparkle season. – Emily O’Neill, Branded Partnerships Marketing Account Executive

I have to agree with Dominique that Hildun’s eyeliners are simply not like anything else. There is some magic in them that makes them glide on exactly where you want them to go, blend, smoke and buff with ease and last unsmudged all evening. Pair that with Charlotte Tilbury’s Super Nudes Easy Eye Palette of earthy, suits-all neutrals and even the most unskilled amongst us can pull off a smoky eye in a flash. – Holly O’Neill, Editor, IMAGE.ie; Beauty Editor, IMAGE
