Real Weddings: Cassie and Ciaran tie the knot at Fallon & Byrne in Dublin
Travelling all the way from New York, Irishman Ciaran married his American bride Cassie in the beautiful surroundings of Fallon & Byrne. Their day included a lovely first look in Stephen's Green and a foodie's dream reception with an artisanal touch.

THEY MET
Through a dating app, but we ended up being neighbours on the same block in Brooklyn!
THE PROPOSAL
The day after Thanksgiving in 2020, Ciaran had plans to go to Austin, Texas for a motorcycle track. Austin is my favorite city so he asked me to come tag along. I was hesitant to have a weekend with motorcycle dudes but he convinced me that we would have lots of free time to hang out. I finally gave in so we packed up some Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches and hopped on a flight after dinner.
We had plans to go on a hike the day after we arrived which was fishy because Ciaran HATES hiking. About an hour into the hike, he pulled me aside, got down on one knee and reached into his bag. I totally thought he was taking out one of the Thanksgiving sandwiches that he packed so I was very much thrown off guard when he took out a ring!
THE DRESS AND THE SUIT
My wedding dress was a lace, long-sleeved, V-Neck dress from BHLDN and Ciaran’s suit was a forest green three-piece from Suit Supply.

THE DECOR
Mostly everything was supplied by Fallon & Byrne, but we had a fabulous florist, Lisa Nevin, who helped supply not only the flowers but the fairy lights, centrepieces, etc.
THEIR TOP TIPS
Plan time to spend some time just the two of you. The day will be chaotic with a lot of schmoozing, so make sure you have a few minutes to spend alone to really soak it all in.
THEY WISH THEY HAD

THEIR BEST MOMENTS
Our photographer, Katie, planned a wonderful first look for us that included a stop at a local pub to enjoy a pint together before the ceremony and it was the best part of the day for us.
