Introducing the Best Hair & Beauty Creation Award at The IMAGE Business of Beauty Awards 2023

We have a new category for the 2023 IMAGE Business of Beauty Awards and it’s one focused entirely on creativity and interpretation of Rio’s colourful, energetic, super-extra Carnival – which is also the inspiration behind this year’s Awards night on Sunday, November 19.

We asked you to show us what you can do in hair, make-up, nails, lashes, brows, to let your imagination and creativity run riot, push your boundaries, experiment with colours, textures and shapes and bring it all together in one great image, video or reel to be awarded our inaugural winner of Ireland’s Best Hair & Beauty Creative. Drum roll please for our incredible shortlist…

CRITERIA

• This category for the IMAGE Business of Beauty Awards 2023 is open to entrants working in a salon, or as an independent professional, who post their look to Instagram and/or TikTok, tagging @image.ie and using the hashtag #IMAGEBOBCREATION23.
• Closing date for entries is Friday 10 November 2023 at 18:00.
• We invite entrants to create a beauty look interpreting the inspiration behind our awards for 2023 which is Carnival in Rio de Janeiro.
• Entries should demonstrate unique and innovative beauty looks or techniques in the categories of hair, make-up, nails, lashes, brows, or a combination of any and all the aforementioned.
• Judges will be looking for imaginative approaches with a professional approach and finish.
• All entrants should showcase a high level of skill and technique.
• Work and submit your look individually, or team with up to two others to complete the entry. All individuals involved in the creation of an entered look must be credited.
• The winning entry will be clear, well-lit, and professionally presented to highlight the creativity and artistry involved.

ENTRY SUBMISSION

• Closing date for entries is Friday, November 10 2023 at 18:00.
• Entrants may be working in a salon or as an independent freelance professional.
• Individuals currently nominated for the IMAGE Business of Beauty 2023 are permitted to enter. You don’t have to be already shortlisted for the IMAGE Business of Beauty 2023 to enter.
• Images and/or videos are to be uploaded on Instagram and TikTok only.
• You must tag @image.ie and use the #IMAGEBOBCREATION23.
• The shortlist will be announced on IMAGE.ie and across IMAGE channels on Monday, November 13 2023.
• Your award entry must be created by you (and a maximum of two others) and evidence of this will be required if you are selected for the shortlist.
• The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges made up of IMAGE editors and directors.
• The winner will be announced at the awards on Sunday November 19 and you must be available to attend.
