Rixo’s first swimwear collection has arrived at Brown Thomas

London-based brand Rixo has launched its first swimwear collection for SS19 and it’s now available at Brown Thomas, Dublin, brownthomas.com and rixo.co.uk. Known for its vibrant and eclectic hand-painted prints, Rixo’s ready-to-wear range has been a huge success since it was founded by friends Henrietta Rix and Orlagh McCluskey in 2015.

Working from their London apartment, the two London College of Fashion graduates established the brand on a shoestring. Today, however, they are based in an office in West London and employ ten people. Stocked in 130 stores around the globe, the 1970s-style silhouettes, unique prints and flattering cuts have captured the imagination of women who want effortless pieces that can be dressed up or down. Simply scroll through Instagram to get a flavour of the level of success Rixo has enjoyed in just four short years.

For its swimwear collection, the duo has reimagined its hand-painted prints in playful bikinis and sophisticated swimsuits. Abstract florals, 1980s polka dots and monochrome tiger stripes are all in the mix. Here’s a flavour of what you can expect.

1970s tiger bikini, €150

Jessica bikini, €160

Valentina suit, €150
