WHICH TREND WILL YOU BE BUYING INTO?

I’m drawn to the ?warm and fuzzy? vibe of this AW, epitomised by shearling. I’ll be teaming a shearling-trimmed jacket with almost everything, from dressed-down denim to slip dresses.

WHICH BRAND DID IT BEST?

Shearling popped up at 3.1 Phillip Lim, Altuzarra, Balenciaga and Ellery, but my favourite is from New York designer Sandy Liang.

HOW DO YOU SHOP THE NEW SEASON?

I make a pre- selection of key pieces – planning big-ticket purchases ahead of time is wise. Then I think about my existing wardrobe and consider where the gaps are and what pieces I need to make others feel fresh again. I use all of this information to compile a wish list and refer back to it when the season kicks off.

ARE THERE ANY IRISH DESIGNERS INSPIRING YOU NOW?

I’m such a fan of Simone Rocha – her pieces are so feminine, but modern. I love the Victoriana references in her current collection. J.W. Anderson is a super force, and I recently came across Caoimhe Mac Neice’s work on Instagram and I really like her aesthetic. I’ll be following her with interest.

ONE INVESTMENT A WOMAN WILL NEVER REGRET?

A pair of Gucci loafers – they just add that extra something to the simplest of outfits and the leather is so super soft, they get even better over time. I’m planning to treat myself as soon as the delivery drops in store.

?SOPHIE’S KEY PIECES

A coat from Saks Potts – it’ll look great thrown over pretty much anything. A double-breasted blazer from Italian brand Blaz?. Expertly cut from limited-edition fabrics,?it’ll be a hardworking addition to’my wardrobe: It’s modern power dressing. An updated flat. I have fallen crazy-in-love with the Miu Miu buckle/ribbon ballerina flats. They’re a modern spin on the classic ballerina and are basically all my dreams come true. A velvet dress by Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi of Preen. Their Izora dress is cut from the most beautiful devor? velvet and I’m coveting it for evening events. A shirt by Marie Marot, a Paris label that’s new to Browns this season. Her designs are really wearable and accessibly priced, so they make a perfect everyday staple.

1 Gold flower dress, Simone Rocha, €2,330 at Havana 2 Blazer with contrast peak lapel, Blaze?, €1,120 at brownsfashion.com 3 Block colour coat, Saks Potts, €1,049 at brownsfashion.com 4 Twisted knit sweater, J.W.Anderson, €620 at Brown Thomas 5 Brocade and patent leather ballerina flats, €550 at Miu Miu
