Hair slides are back and here are 10 our inner teenager really wants

Hair slides are back and here are 10 our inner teenager really wants

When was the last time you thought, ‘you know what would make this outfit even better? A hair slide.’ We’ve neglected the humble hair accessory in favour of grander things, but we’re in the middle of a hair accessories flip and our teenage selves are LEAPING with joy. The hair clip flip (!!) started when British punk designer Ashley Williams showed diamonté-infused sloganed clips and matching chokers. The look was rebellious years and we loved it. Think short buzz-cut with strategically placed hairpins holding onto short strands of hair for dear life, and an attitude laced with extra sass.

Now, high and low fashion have made hair clips and slides readily available in every shape and colour imaginable (if glitter skeleton hand hair clips are your thing, keep scrollin’). Wearing simple bobby pins can be an incredibly stylish and creative way to add personality and a little more oomph to an ordinary outfit, and if the original Man Repeller approves, then you can bet that we do too.

From high glamour to affordable and cheerful, here are 10 hair slides that we want on our dresser table. While you’re here and if hair accessories are your thing, then why not say hello to the chic hairband, too?
