Last night British Vogue held a party to mark the celebrated fashion magazine’s 100th birthday. Supermodel and very charming YouTube personality Karlie Kloss, wearing Christopher Kane, was one of the guests of honour at the event in the National Portrait Gallery. Lily Donaldson and Suki Waterhouse joined Karlie as part of the runway contingent.
Isn’t great that a magazine launched in 1916, in the middle of a Europe-wide war, has survived and thrived to this very day?
Designers such as Roksanda Ilincic, Emilia Wickstead and Bella Freud also attended. Edie Campbell kept is casual but very cool in an oversized leather jacket with some harlequin vibes underneath. Eva Herzigova wore a gorgeous suit with a high-necked lace top and her hair in a tousled blonde lob. She was basically a very sexy Victorian villainess. Natalie Massenet, formerly of net-a-porter, wore a blue velvet dress. Erin O’Connor brught her dramatic game and a braid. Jerry Hall, who is engaged to Rupert Murdoch, showed up. Expect to see a lot of Jerry and her model offspring in the coming months, because that’s what happens when you marry a media mogul.
