My shoedrobe comes in two extremes: a collection of leather, all-weather shoes and boots that are worn nine-out-of-twelve month’s of the year, and too many pairs of “going-out” heels that get far few uses. In the middle of these two extremes are a handful of flat and mid-heel sandals perfect for mosying to the shop for milk (or something way more fashionable) or a jaunt around town at the weekends. When I inspected the wear-and-tear of my flat slip-on’s and mid-height mules, I realised that these are, in fact, the shoes that I actually get the most wear out of.
