Five outfits that will change your mind about mules

Five outfits that will change your mind about mules

My shoedrobe comes in two extremes: a collection of leather, all-weather shoes and boots that are worn nine-out-of-twelve month’s of the year, and too many pairs of “going-out” heels that get far few uses. In the middle of these two extremes are a handful of flat and mid-heel sandals perfect for mosying to the shop for milk (or something way more fashionable) or a jaunt around town at the weekends. When I inspected the wear-and-tear of my flat slip-on’s and mid-height mules, I realised that these are, in fact, the shoes that I actually get the most wear out of. They’re comfy, easy to wear, they’re not too casual but not quite a dress shoe, they’re high without being too sexy and low enough to power through the day in. Above all, they’re perfectly transitional for this time of year. It’s the ultimate spring shoe that should be part of your everyday arsenal.

If you’re still on the fence about these heel-freeing, dainty choice of footwear, then scroll below. Whether it’s flat mules, low block-heel mules, heeled mules, espadrille mules in all fabrics and colours, they’re here to stay for spring ’18 and we’ve five perfect outfit inspirations to change your mood.
