Fashion’s answer to summer workwear? A coloured trouser suit

Sienna Miller has been seen in Gucci’s green trouser suit, Victoria Beckham in her own brand lilac two piece, while model Karlie Kloss was spotted in a pale blue Ralph Lauren ensemble. The coloured trouser suit is the fashion crowd’s solution to summer workwear. But do you dare deep-dive into the Pantone colour wheel? Be brave and take a look at these gorgeous Crayola coloured suits.

So starting with what many women would consider a challenging colour – mustard. This deep, earthy shade is surprisingly flattering and worn with a simple white T-shirt it looks fresh and bold. In winter I’d pair this with a burgundy polo-neck.

Cobalt blue is an easier colour to contend with. It’s close enough to navy to immediately appear smart and professional, but it’s much less predictable so looks beautifully modern.

Not everyone can get away with neon pink (I certainly can’t…my skin is pink enough as it is), but if you can this is the trouser suit for you. I love the white button detailing, which gives this look a slightly 1960s feel.

Green is my favourite colour, probably because I tend to receive compliments when I wear it. This two piece from Massimo Dutti looks so sophisticated, with its slim-fit jacket and cropped trousers with oversized turn-ups.

Coral is such a pretty shade and I love how it’s been reimagined here in structured tailoring. This shade softens the menswear vibe evoked by a trouser suit.

Crepe belted peg trousers, €25 (were €47), and double breasted blazer, €46 (was €73); both at Warehouse
