Orange is the new red. Makeup trends come and go, and then come again, and this summer sees the return and strengthening of some of our favourite looks.
Yadim Carranza is Maybelline New York’s Global Makeup Artist – he was appointed earlier this year and is an impressive thirty years young – and is now on hand to help up prep our faces for the summer. Yadim was responsible for creating looks for major runway shows during the insanely busy fashion month for DKNY and Charlotte Ronson. As well as his catwalk credentials, he has worked with luminaries such as Mario Testino for Vogue, W, Dazed and Confused and Harper’s Bazaar. He also helped Lady Gaga out in her video for Applause. Total all rounder and the best man to dictate summer beauty trends.
This season he’s picked out bright lips as the must-do, advising us to steer towards orange shades. Metallic eyes will lend you an ultra shimmer so laden those lides with gold, bronze or copper. The nude look is back – it never goes away really – so make sure to work that morning dew. Also, he totally endorses the everygirl’s go-to product Maybelline’s Great Lash Lots of Lashes so give your makeup bag a high five and practice your tangerine pout.
