Summer Nail Trends: Step-By-Step For Pop Art Selfie Nails

While most of the year, you might keep your nails in a winter?pallet of nude-crimson-navy-repeat, in the summer and especially in the sunshine, nude looks washed out, crimson is too dark and navy is too dull. While your fluoro-orange nails might seem aggressive in Irish lighting, once they’re paired in Spain with all your pom-pom embellished multi-coloured holidays clothes and a pina colada, they fit right in. Summer is the time to put away your ruby reds and to venture towards neon corals, pinks and purples so bright that you’ll need your shades on to look at your hands. If?you’re a stickler for a year-round red nail, at least try out?a burnt orange.

Also if you’re someone who’s always trying to find ways to artfully yet subtly fit your new nails into your pictures on the ‘gram, forget it and go straight for it- selfie nails is where it’s at with summer nail trends.

If you’re good with a striper brush, we’ve got some Gelish step-by-steps below for the perfect selfie nails from the?Selfie Summer 2017 Collection, available in June.?If you’re no good with a striper brush, bring these step-by-steps into your nail technician, as Gelish is available in salons nationwide.
