Pat McGrath just won Christmas makeup

Pat McGrath just won Christmas makeup

If you thought Christmas makeup was just about red lips and sparkly eyes, think again. Pat McGrath Labs, the eponymous brand founded by MUA Pat McGrath, has just launched the most extra and outrageous of products that will put all other Christmas Party looks to shame. Introducing BlintzTrance Lipstick in Blitz Gold.

This isn’t just a subtle shimmer, but an all-over drenching of gold and pigment across the lips. Multi-dimensional and opaque this is truly something new for makeup mavens to get excited about. The shade is not for the faint hearted, and could be a hard one to pull off. We’re thinking that paired with lots of bronzer, liquid liner and a flawless base this could be wearable (if you’re feeling brave).

As a makeup artist who has been working in editorial for so long, McGrath is always experimental with product launches and this is no exception. We doubt this was intended for everyday wear and is geared more towards makeup artists, but we can’t help ourselves in thinking maybe, just maybe, we could wear it too.

Definitely something to consider for the party season if you’re bored of wearing Christmas glitter on your eyelids, and at least when you go to pick up your glass come the office party you’ll know exactly which one is yours.
