Christmas Hair Trends

Mark Doherty from SitStil in Dublin has been giving us some serious hair tips; teaching us what we should never do to our hair, how to achieve Kendall Jenner’s slicked back hair look, and now – the most on trend ways to wear our hair this Christmas party season. This year some of our favourite hair trends have been low buns, opal hair, the lob??and we’re loving the Bardot Ponytail?- but now Mark is hooking us up?with the three hair trends you’ll want to try over Christmas.

Mark thinks this Christmas the biggest hair trends will be;

  • glitter roots
  • the halo braid
  • faux-hawks

Glitter roots first caught our eye over on Instagram, where we were particularly fond of it worn with pigtail buns. Mark recommended the glitter hair spray from Claire’s Accessories which you can buy here?in every colour for less than €3.

Halo braids are definitely something we want to try out, and Instagram user @amberfillerup makes it look simple in her video above. She makes two plaits in her hair and just pins them up around the crown of her head, it looks so easy – perfect Christmas hangover hair.

We don’t really have any advice for the faux-hawk, they range from simple and delicate to the very elaborate – just check out the samples in the gallery above.

Get inspired for these looks from the gallery featuring Instagram users who have tried and tested the halo braid, glitter roots and faux-hawks – and please, if you try any of these looks out (particularly the faux-hawk!) don’t forget to tweet us @IMAGEie!
