Aldi launches first-ever beauty advent calendar (and it’s fabulous)

by Jennifer McShane
30th Oct 2018

What’s not to love about the premise of a beauty advent calendar? Miniature, pocket-sized beauty treats every day for the month of December are sure to brighten up any hint of those winter blues as well as reviving tired skin. And because many of us can feel guilty for indulging in TLC buys for ourselves in the lead up to Christmas (note: you shouldn’t), they serve as the perfect excuse for some pampering – minus the hefty price tag.

We had spoken about some favourites last week, but then Aldi launched a surprise addition that can well hold its own amongst the must-have calenders. They previously revealed their 24-door wine-filled advent offering (which went down a storm with our readers), and now a first for the Irish retailer: a Luxury Collection Beauty Advent Calendar for only €49.99. And because we’re all about supporting Irish here at IMAGE, we couldn’t let this one pass our gleaming eyes without a mention.

The similarities in design to a certain luxury brand won’t go unnoticed, but the proof is in the products with this more budget-friendly alternative and early reviews say there is much to be impressed about with the quality of the miniatures on offer.

It features a range of gorgeous miniature beauty and fragrance products from the iconic luxury collection.

Each door is bursting with Aldi’s signature scents, skincare and home fragrance, so you can enjoy a luxurious treat every day leading up to the festive season, including their Lime, Basil & Mandarin Body Crème, Blackberry & Bay Hand and Body Lotion, Freesia & Pear Eau du Toilette, along with their ever-popular candles.

The 24 unique mini luxury gifts also include fragrances from Peony, Blackberry & Velvety Rose, to Lime & Basil; these are perfect little portable luxuries won’t fail to please, either you or the lucky receiver of this as an early Christmas gift. And, because we’re all about sustainability and going green as often as we can in our daily lives, the 24-door calendar is presented in a high-quality cream and black box that’s perfectly re-usable – extra brownie points for that.

It’s luxury, that’s a little easier on the purse strings.

Aldi’s Luxury Collection Beauty Advent Calendar will be available in stores nationwide from Sunday, 4th November while stocks last.
