Wall lamps to add brightness to any spot – no electrician needed

Rechargeable or plug-in wall lights are a clever way to add brightness exactly where you need it, without the fuss of a wired-in design.

Well-placed wall lights are the kind of detail that instantly makes a room look more put-together, and they’re ideal for adding light to tricky spots, such as illuminating a kitchen counter, or creating the perfect reading spot by your bed.

However, many people put off installing these kinds of lights, as you need to get an electrician in, and depending on the wiring in your home, it may not be a straightforward job. Plus, it’s usually not an option if you’re renting.

That’s why rechargeable and plug-in wall lights are a great solution. Either attach to the wall, and then you simply recharge them every so often, or if you have a socket nearby, you can opt for a plug-in design. If you’re renting, depending on the design of the light you choose, removable adhesive strips might be an option to affix them, or you can simply fill in the holes and touch up the paint before you leave.
