The IMAGE Christmas party was at this new Rathmines bar and restaurant – here’s why it’s worth a visit

Team IMAGE celebrated the festive season at this brand-new space, and have been raving about everything from the interiors to the cocktails since.

Christmas parties are undoubtedly a highlight of the year for many. They’re a chance to celebrate a successful year with your team, toast everyone’s hard work and get a proper chance to catch up with everyone without having to bring the conversation back around to meetings and deadlines.

As a result, you want a venue that’s up to the occasion. This year, team IMAGE headed to The Dunmore in Rathmines for our festive bash, a brand-new bar and restaurant, and it did not disappoint.

The Dunmore

When you step inside, you’re immediately wowed by the space. A long, double-height room, it immediately feels generous and spacious, even when packed with people, and the finishes are super-stylish. Exposed brick, grand mirrored arches and interesting artwork set the tone for a great night, while a mix of seating is plush and comfortable, allowing you to settle in for the night.

Team IMAGE had a mezzanine area to ourselves, which was the perfect place to mingle and chat, whilst still feeling part of the buzz of the whole space. We enjoyed delicious nibbles including tomato tartare on sourdough, chargrilled Atlantic prawn skewers, and some top-tier chips.

The Dunmore

Their selection of drinks is also second to none, with an extensive wine list, as well as a cocktail menu that the team very much enjoyed sampling – the spicy Margaritas were a particular favourite!

And while we stuck to drinks and snacks, other guests were enjoying dinner from a very tempting menu. Its mix of seafood and dishes cooked in a charcoal oven is definitely something we’ll be back to try.

The Dunmore

The staff are friendly and welcoming and very happy to advise if you’re having trouble choosing from the impressive menu. The ambience was perfect as well, busy without feeling crowded, and live music only added to the celebratory vibe.

Its location in Rathmines means it has a nice neighbourhood feel to it, while still being so close to the city centre that it’s handy even for those who don’t live locally.

Expect this spot to become a fast favourite in Dublin.
