Downton Abbey Star Michelle Dockery Devastated By Death Of 34 Year Old Fianc

In particularly sad news this morning, it has been reported that Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery’s Irish partner has died. At only 34 years of age, Cork native John Dineen had been ill for quite some time before passing away in a hospice near to his home on Sunday morning. Needless to say, the actress is said to be ‘devastated’ by the loss, along with his nearest and dearest.

Though born and reared just outside of Cork city (Waterfall), Dineen had made the move to London where he worked in financial PR before meeting his famous other half. Though the pair had refused to release a statement, reports suggest they had gotten engaged earlier this year. They met in September 2013 after having been introduced by fellow Irishman and Downton Abbey co-star Allen Leech.

A very private person who is said to have been rather soft-spoken, John Dineen’s closest will gather for a funeral tomorrow morning in Cork. Recently, Dockery made the following comment to the press, adamant that the details of their relationship be kept between them alone. ?I have a wonderful man in my life from Ireland. We were introduced by Allen Leech. That’s all you need to know” she said in September 2014.

She has yet to release a statement on his passing.

Our thoughts are with both Michelle and John’s family.
