Søstrene Grene’s September collection drops this week, here’s what’s bound to sell out

As the evenings get shorter, there’s suddenly a crispness to the air that wasn’t there before, and summer holidays have been and gone, we’re starting to think about our nesting in once more. Often over the warmer months, our homes have stripped of blankets, books, candles and cushions as we make outdoors our preferred base camp.

Now we’re ready to migrate towards the heat once again, this time the fireplace and duvets, and it’s time to breathe some new life into your bedroom and living rooms.

As with most of the Danish brand’s collections, there’s always a few pieces that simply run out the door – who remembers those velvet dining chairs? With that in mind, we’ve selected the items that are worth the trip for, sooner rather than later.

For lazy, lounging morning this autumn, this grey/green kimono is a must. Made of linen and cotton, it’s breathable and will provide coverage while keeping you cool. Just add the Sunday papers and some freshly brewed coffee. Kimono, €31.90, available in stores from September 6.

This wooden and metal chair was inspired by the classic Danish school chairs and its unusual leaf-like shape sets it apart. Expect this one to last a matter of hours. Chair, €54.98, available in store from September 20.

Necessary to a bedroom sanctuary is a calm and decluttered space. What better way to keep your sleeping space minimal with this gorgeous little wall lamp. In soft pink, it’s very clean in its design and leaves plenty of room on your bedside table for books, candles and maybe a potted plant. Lamp, €17.98, available in store from September 6.

We can’t entirely avoid the clutter bug, but we can hide it away in something pretty looking, like this 100% jute basket. Ideal for shoes at the back door or loitering toys in the living room. Basket, €19.40, available in store from September 6.

Items are will be available in Søstrene Grene shops in South Great George’s Street, Dublin 2, Dun Laoghaire, Cork, Blanchardstown, Athlone and Limerick.
