Win a pair of tickets to the gala screening of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil

Read on for your chance to win one of ten pairs of tickets to the special gala screening of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil on October 15.

It’s been five years since Angelina Jolie put a spell on audiences with her take on Maleficent – the “evil” fairy in the Sleeping Beauty tale, reimagined in the Robert Stromberg-directed Disney live-action remake. A lot has happened since Princess Aurora woke from her slumber, and now – finally – the sequel is about to hit the big screen in Ireland.

In Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil – which hits Irish cinemas on October 18 – directed by Joachim Rønning, Maleficent and her goddaughter Aurora begin to question the complex family ties that bind them as they are pulled in different directions by impending nuptials, unexpected allies and dark new forces at play. Maleficent and Aurora’s relationship, born of heartbreak, revenge and ultimately love, has flourished. Yet the hatred between man and the fairies still exists. Aurora’s impending marriage to Prince Phillip is cause for celebration in the kingdom of Ulstead and the neighbouring Moors, as the wedding serves to unite the two worlds. When an unexpected encounter introduces a powerful new alliance, Maleficent and Aurora are pulled apart to opposing sides in a Great War, testing their loyalties and causing them to question whether they can truly be family.
