It’s Friday, you’ve just completed your first week’s work of 2018, and, to top things off, Penney’s have just unveiled their new interiors collection for spring and are absolutely stunning. Talk about a time to be alive!

Starting from €2.50, the new season collections are comprised of 5 key trends – Carbon & Ecru, Restore & Nurture, Palm Springs, Aura and Medina – and is a delicate mix of bohemian-chic, exotic tropical life, playful sequins, natural fibres, ethnic folk patterns, and monochrome.

Carbon & Ecru, is all about bringing the soothing outdoors inside. The pieces feature a simplistic aesthetic made possible with the use of a monochrome colour palette; giving any room a renewed look for the springtime. By concentrating on ethnic folkloric patterns, weaves and designs, the trend has an artisanal affect. Pops of ochre and luminous foliage green bring a fresh new take on the trend.

Restore & Nurture continues the idea of returning to simplistic living. Marble, concrete and rope textures add a wellness element where the home becomes a mini sanctuary ready to rejuvenate in. Inspired by retro photography, Palm Springs makes one dream up nostalgic scenes of stunning blue pools, cloudless blue skies and ‘it’ girls in their natural relaxing habitat. Aura hones in on playful spirituality, with unicorns, mermaids and plenty of sequins providing a whimsical theme. While bohemian vibes are at the heart of the Medina trend.
