The IMAGE Business of Beauty Awards 2019 — our best bits (including the best outfits)

Was it all a dream? Did it really happen? Can we do it all again? The 2019 edition of the IMAGE Business of Beauty Awards is now officially over for another year, and we are all feeling a little fragile about it.

It was a night filled with glamour, bubbles, laughter and a lot of highlighter. Now in its seventh year, the most talked about night in the beauty calendar never fails to impress.  It gets bigger, better and brighter with each passing year and this instalment produced some unforgettable moments.

The Hit Machine Drummers

We love a party here at IMAGE, so we know exactly how to get it off to a good start. And the beginning of this year’s event was a surefire way to get the crowd going. The Hit Machine Drummers provided a stellar performance, with beats and hits galore. With the crowd up on their feet, we knew it was going to be a very, very good night.

Darren Kennedy’s EPIC entrance

Talk about an entrance! Co-host Darren Kennedy captivated the audience with this mega entrance which saw him carried in on a throne fit for the king he is. We don’t know how this entrance could ever be topped.

The outfits

It wouldn’t be an awards ceremony without some fashion and this year had an abundance of moments to keep our sartorial hearts happy. From billowing gowns to Dynasty style jumpsuits, the attendees seriously impressed. Here are some of our favourites.

The snaps and tweets

The outfits, the make-up, the spray tans and the spectacle — how would we know about any of it were it not for trusty Instagram and Twitter? Both our guests and us here at IMAGE HQ were glued to our screens to capture what was a truly spectacular night.

All eyes on IMAGE had our hashtag #IMAGEBOB19 trending by the end of the night! And of course, we had eyes and ears all over the Clayton Burlington Road to hear some of the funniest quotes of the night…

The awards

Of course, we couldn’t forget about the very reason why we were gathered together at the Clayton last night. Although the night was fun-filled, it was inspirational too. The night was a way to celebrate and recognise the outstanding talent we have in the Irish beauty industry, and every nominee and winner was as deserving as the other. And we left the event feeling empowered and proud.
