The Universal Bar + Kitchen in Galway plugged into Ireland’s buoyant cocktail event circuit by hosting a takeover party in association with Teeling Whiskey on Thursday the 23rd of November.

An exclusive cocktail list featuring twists on classics were available on the night designed by Teeling Global Brand Ambassador Kevin Hurley. Kevin, who has worked in and managed a number of venerable Dublin cocktail lounges including The Liquor Rooms, will guest shift behind the bar at The Universal. for the very special event.

Cocktails on the night included twists on classics that include “Taking Liberties” made with Teeling Small Batch, Ginger Liqueur, Apricot Brandy, Stout Syrup, Angostura Bitters and Chocolate Bitters; “Lovechild” composed of Teeling Small Batch, Luxardo Maraschino liqueur, Lime Juice and Red Grapefruit Juice; “Papers Please” made with Aperol, Pedro Ximenez Sherry, Lemon Juice and Orange Bitters, among others. Chef Paul Lewis will present handmade Whiskey Truffles.
