Real Weddings: Joanne and Terry

They are: BASH photographer Joanne Murphy and owner of furniture company Two Wooden Horses Terry Cullen. They met: 18 years ago working at a caf?, only to reconnect 14 years later. They live in: Greystones, Co Wicklow

Joanne and Terry’s wedding was very much a collaborative effort amongst a merry band of talented friends, whose DIY talents transformed the Orangery at Killruddery into their dream location.

Everything, from the handmade bunting to the seating plan crafted from a salvaged window from Terry’s childhood home, had sentimental meaning to the couple.

Wooden objets d?art, including table centrepieces, a white birch altar and J&T marquee lettering, were hand-carved by the groom, whilst favours and signage by good friend Orla Neligan tied everything together in a theme of rustic yellow and grey.

A teary surprise came at the end of the night, when (a rather nervous) Joanne treated Terry to a serenade, accompanied by their friend Ray on guitar. The performance went down a treat, and was the perfect finish to a day that was all about capturing the style and personalities of the loved-up pair.
