THE CEREMONY Eschewing sunshine and soaring temperatures for an autumn wedding in Ireland’s midlands. Ciara and Nick succeeded in creating a dramatic vintage feel for their bash. An outdoor ceremony conducted by a humanist celebrant initiated the proceedings.

THE D?COR Ciara and her mum were responsible for many of the DIY touches: hand-painted signage and dried lavender confetti. Best friend Frida lent a hand too by creating 3D avatars of the bride and groom for topping the wedding cake. Blooms and bunting adorned the venue, both inside and out, allowing for pops of colour to punctuate the moody backdrop. Speaking of colour, earthy purple tones added sumptuous warmth to this autumn wedding; from the groom’s tie and polka-dot dress socks to the bridesmaids’ dresses, we commend the couple’s classy use of burgundy and plum.

THEIR TOP TIPS Relax! Enjoy the run-up, as well as the day itself because it truly is all over in the blink of an eye.
