It’s the last weekend before December, and real Christmas mania, hits and we can’t wait to jump headfirst into Xmas FM and boxes of Heroes. But until then, enjoy the crisp November weather with What’s On. Happy weekend from IMAGE!

All weekend: Debate and discuss at the Festival of Politics

While spending all weekend chatting about the ins and outs of political systems mightn’t sound very exciting, this festival is actually a wealth of information and positive discourse. From veganism to Dublin’s cultural decline, there are some great speakers and topics lined up here.

Friday and Saturday: Get in the spirit with Eatyard’s Wine & Cheese Festival

Mulled wine, music, entertainment, games and every type of cheese you can imagine — from fondue to mac and cheese. Moving from the dearly departed Bernard Shaw to Jam Park in Swords, this weekend will be filled with food and drink aplenty.

All weekend (until Tuesday): Even more foody fun at Yuleyard in Drumcondra

If wine & cheese ain’t your bag (or you just haven’t had your fill of foodie events in the capital), then head to Yuleyard at the new Bernard Shaw in Drumcondra for some festive fun. Featuring some of the city’s best-loved eateries (Box Burger and Meltdown, yes please), there will also be festive cocktails, festive films and a festive Craft Fair and Farmer’s Market. Feeling festive yet?
