Currently we are lusting over the fresh flowers, delicate shades and sweet treats that embody the Insta-feed of interior designer Moya Farrell, who blogs at designology.ie.

Through covetable imagery,?you are instantly transported to her pastel-hued world. “Colour and balance are the things that grab my attention. Our eyes are drawn to balance and symmetry, so capturing these qualities is my aim.?

Each image evokes a mood and tone, that stems from a curated space. The lightness of the settings are suggestive of tranquility. An environment of calm and simplicity is transferable, even through technology. “I try to aim for imagery that portrays feelings of softness, cosiness and naturally endearing.”

Instagram is a constant source of inspiration and Moya doesn’t stray far to stimulate her own creativity. “I love to see how others create a feed of imagery that embodies their individual style.” We just love how a classic such as a 99 pairs with a consistent neutral colour scheme when held against a candy pink background.

A reoccurring trend that is key to the design aesthetic of Moya are flowers. Fresh and natural they fill her home and represent the key elements of her style. Flowers, set a scene as they add colour and the scent can make you feel like you are outdoors even on a grey day.

“One thing I have all the time is a large bunch of eucalyptus in a big vase of in the centre of my dining table. It’s got that lovely earthy look and it lasts forever! I also love having something with a beautiful subtle scent in the hallway, that you can smell as soon as you walk through the door.”

Florals and greenery?

The connection from interiors to exteriors is notable. “Although interiors are my first love, I do love natural settings, I find an afternoon by the sea, a walk in a field or a trip to explore a country house and its beautiful gardens really inspiring.”
