Christmas Gifting Inspiration: Foxford Has Created a Modern Family Heirloom That’s an Instant Classic

With over 120 years weaving beside Mayo’s River Moy, textile tastemakers?Foxford Woollen Mills?have breathed?new life into the classic Irish Toile de Jouy design, with the help of fashion designer Helen McAlinden. If you’re looking for a special gift this Christmas that the recipient will cherish forever, you can’t go wrong with this beautiful bedlinen guaranteed to be?an instant classic…

Although Toile de Jouy literally’means?”fabric from Jouy-en-Josas”???a southern suburb of Paris???it was in fact designed in 1752 by printer Francis Nixon in Drumcondra, Dublin. It was subsequently hugely?popular all over Europe, particularly in Britain and France, as its amendable pattern allowed for any number of leisure activities of the upper classes to be captured such as picnicking, dancing, and even hot-air ballooning.

Accessory alert! The luxurious 300-thread-count bedlinen would be?perfect paired with this blended mohair and lambswool throw (pictured below). Warning: whoever is lucky enough to get this gift’might never leave their?bed again!
