Our top ten independent Irish fashion retailers (and one extra honorary mention)

These are the businesses that have gained a reputation for the quality of their garments, the sophistication of their styles, and are noted for their unforgettable customer service.

In short, they are the ones that make us swoon, sigh and squeal with delight as we walk out the door, smug in the knowledge that we have just bought a truly special piece and supported a local Irish business in the process.

Om Diva
Dublin

You won’t get a quirkier array of clothes this side of the Liffey. What’s more, the staff (led by owner Ruth Ní Loinsigh) are as colourful as the clothes.

31 Chapel Lane
Limerick

Established in 2012 by Damien and Joi Hannigan, 31 Chapel Lane is a design house and garment manufacturing company, located in the Georgian centre of Limerick City. Each piece is tailored from the finest Irish linen or Donegal tweed, and manufactured in-house with a focus on quality and longevity.

Seagreen
Dublin

Sarah Gill is the woman behind this auto full boutique which showcases new, hand-picked pieces in a calm, relaxed setting. Located in both Ranelagh and Monkstown.

Havana Boutique
Dublin

With a front window that never fails to peak the interest of passersby, Nikki Creedon’s eye for on-the-beat style has made this Donnybrook boutique a haven for any modern woman who has a particular penchant for statement dresses. Their personal shopping service comes highly recommended.

For 20 years Kate O’Dwyer and Louise Flanagan have led their team of long-standing staff members in making customers feel completely at ease in finding the perfect outfit to suit their style and shape. As a result, Emporium Kalu has got itself the reputation as one of Ireland’s most popular women’s boutiques.

Bow and Pearl

After seven years in Ranelagh, Bow & Pearl has taken the leap and moved into a new home in the Swan Centre in Rathmines. Filled with beautiful pieces, it’s a must-visit when looking for a wedding outfit, or a gorgeous new pair of jeans.

STABLE of Ireland
Dublin

This small, Dublin-based independent retail store is a celebration of Ireland’s rich textile heritage. Founded by Francie Duff and Sonia Reynolds in 2016, the store offers exceptional Irish textiles reflective of the best of Irish traditions and skills. It’s a lovely place to visit when you find yourself in Dublin’s city centre.
