Bradley Cooper joins Lady Gaga on stage for first live performance of ‘Shallow’

To end your weekend on the right note, fellow A Star Is Born fanatics, in particular, should love this.

The film has been an unstoppable force since its release late last year; it is the darling of award season, the feel-good film that screams classic Hollywood and has finally cemented Lady Gaga as the multi-talented icon she was destined to be known as.

all the credit for her work in A Star Is Born?

Much credit, despite some of my misgivings, is owed to director, co-star and producer Bradley Cooper for encouraging and capturing her performance as Ally. He, equally talented on screen and hugely impressive in the vocal department, sings the film’s soundtrack with ease – the result of vocal lessons every day for a year – and missed out on a deserved Best Director nomination at this year’s Oscars.

Cooper is the yin to Gaga’s yang; it does take the two of them to bring the star of the show, their duet ‘Shallow’ to the movie – it is the heart of the whole thing and has been the standout song of award season.

We don’t know yet if they will sing it together at this year’s Acadamy Awards but in the meantime, the duo performed the track during Gaga’s Enigma residency show this weekend.

In video clips shared on social media from concert-goers, Gaga sits at the piano while Cooper is on a stool as they sing the Oscar-nominated track together.

Will it bring you joy? Most definitely.
