Actress Alyssa Milano Has Some Words On Breastfeeding

Actress Alyssa Milano Has Some Words On Breastfeeding

alyssa milano

Charmed actress Alyssa Milano has decided to speak publicly about breastfeeding and the judgment women who choose to breastfeed have to endure.

The 42-year-old is a mother-of-two with her husband David Bugliari, an agent with the Creative Artists Agency. She became a mother last year to Elizabella and posts photos of her feeding Elizabella to her personal Instagram regularly. An act which garners her backlash from critical commentators. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she said that all those trolls only encouraged her to keep on breastfeeding, maybe even until her daughter is 6.

Happy Birthday, my beautiful Elizabella. You’ve taught me that my heart has no end. You were the missing piece to my soul. Thank you for choosing me.

What particularly drew Alyssa’s ire was how women’s bodies aren’t criticized on a similar scale when they’re portrayed as sexy as opposed to something useful. ?Everyone’s fine with her nipples being out,? she said of Miley Cyrus? recent VMAs appearance. ?I think people are more comfortable sexualizing breasts than relating them to what they were made for, which is feeding another human.?

Alyssa’s stance is admirable in a world where commentators think they can just throw out nasty words. By taking a vocal stance she’s shutting them down and will hopefully encourage other women to tell critics to take a hike when it comes to having an opinion on breastfeeding other than ?Good for her to be able choose to that in public if she so wishes.?

Olivia Wilde also became a heroine to breastfeeding mothers last year when she posed feeding her daughter in a glamourous magazine shoot.
