The happiness when the sun comes out and you have a few minutes to yourself in the garden. Grab a book, make a coffee and don’t let the moment pass, because who knows when it will happen again.

It is time to stop dragging out a dining room chair and invest in some quality seating for your outdoor area. Here is our round-up of garden benches to relax on and enjoy the precious sunshine.

1. The Parc bench is not only good looking, but extremely comfortable too. €1325.00, Nordic Elements

2. Clinical but comfortable, the Tituna designer bench is made with a zinc-plated, thermo-lacquered steel tube structure with polyester cord and available in different neutral colours. Design by Mariana Lerma for Gandiablasco. Available through Lomi.

3. Pols Potten Singapore bench, €825,00. www.madeindesign.co.uk

4. The black teak bench will look as good inside your hallway than out in the garden. €595, theoldmillstores.ie

5. The small garden bench provides the perfect resting place after a day of gardening or simply use it to display a selection of potted plants. Garden Bench, €68, Sostrene Grene.

6. Rattan furniture evokes thoughts of lounging outside in the heat of summer and is making a big comeback in 2018. Hampstead Rattan Bench, around €325, Graham and Green.
