2 The Haddington

If dancing until dawn in a ball gown isn’t quite your fort?, and bopping to Abba beats in apr’s ski attire is, then note Dun Laoghaire’s Oliveto at The Haddington. With a choice of rooms to mingle in, that midnight magic may just happen, especially with magician Rua meandering through the crowd. Nibble on incredible Italian-inspired food in between sips of prosecco with sea views to savour on the side. Tickets €75.

3 Dunboyne Castle

Flapping and tapping the night away Gatsby-style is possible in Meath at?Dunboyne Castle‘s vintage, 1920’s themed ‘do?. It starts with a lavish dinner in The Ivy followed by a post-dinner party in the glamorous Sadlier Bar with a live band and cocktails galore. When the need to be horizontal occurs, just take the elevator to a sumptuous bedroom. Tickets €170 (including dinner, B&B).

4 Hayfield Manor

Cork-popping is also guaranteed in, well, Cork at the Hayfield Manor‘s gala event. This is a sophisticated affair so dress-up for a champagne and canap? reception but leave room for the seven-course gourmet meal paired with wine. If that doesn’t satisfy your hunger, the post-dinner artisan cheese and port reception might. Raise a glass of bubbly at midnight while enjoying elegant entertainment. Tickets €199.

5 Drive-in Movies

Or just stay casual and park-up at Tattersalls Country House?with a blanket and chomp on popcorn in the comfort of your car. With a range of films showing, it’s the ideal post-Christmas family outing or date night destination. Sick of turkey? Feast on Eddie Rockets or nosh on sweet treats – they are all available on site!
