Searching for winter footwear that will look stylish but still protect your toes from the elements? Knee high boots are the way to go
Dressing for sub-zero temperatures can be tricky no matter what your style, and while we know that layers are our friend, it’s difficult to do so without looking like Joey with his six jumpers.
We regularly look through the best overcoats, fleece jackets, knits and underwear to keep our top half warm, but shoes are where you really need to focus on for keeping toasty during winter. Think about all the times you’ve had freezing cold feet and had to sit in work all day — you do not want to repeat it.
Enter knee high boots. The easiest way to layer your shoes — by having them go over tights, skinny trousers/jeans, and, when things get a bit warmer, giving extra coverage over bare legs. And luckily for us, knee high boots are having a moment — they are absolutely on trend for AW19 dressing, in a variety of materials and patterns.
We’ve had a look through both the high street and online vintage sites to find the best knee high boots to keep our ankles covered this winter.
