What service do you provide for weddings and brides?
At The Diamond Expert, we look after every jewellery detail from the moment you say yes, right through to your wedding day and beyond. Engagement rings, wedding bands, bridal pieces, bridesmaid gifts, and jewellery for the mother of the bride are all thoughtfully considered and exceptionally crafted. Everything is handled with a calm, considered approach, combining expert guidance with a genuinely personal touch. What inspired you to start this business?
I spent ten years working with a luxury British jeweller, but I could see how overwhelming, and often unnecessarily expensive, the jewellery world felt for clients, especially when it came to such emotional purchases. I founded The Diamond Expert in 2017 to offer something different — a more personal, transparent approach where people feel genuinely looked after, fully informed, and confident they’re choosing something beautifully made, without the traditional markups.
What makes your brand unique from other wedding jewellers?
At The Diamond Expert, we offer a balance of honesty, warmth, and real expertise. Because we don’t carry stock, there’s no sales pressure, and we get the best market rates for each piece. Our aim is to create jewellery that feels completely right for each client. Brides aren’t just buying jewellery, they’re making decisions tied to some of the biggest moments in their lives. We take the pressure away, explain everything clearly, and source exceptional quality at genuinely good prices. What’s your favourite part about your job? Have you had to overcome any challenges along the way?
You can tell a woman’s life story through her jewellery; every piece she owns will have a unique emotion and sentiment attached to it. I really love that we get to play a small part in that. The moment someone finds “the one”, whether it’s an engagement ring or eternity band, will never get old. There’s real emotion in it, and I am truly grateful for that every day.
Our biggest challenge has been growing The Diamond Expert while keeping that personal touch, but it’s something we protect fiercely. Every client still gets that same level of care and attention, no matter how big or small the purchase.
How far in advance should a bride-to-be contact you before her wedding?
After the engagement ring, we advise brides to connect with us three to six months before the day for their bands and bridal jewellery. That said, we often work to shorter timelines, so it’s always worth reaching out to us to discuss your preferences.
What does the booking process look like from start to finish?
Your journey with The Diamond Expert starts with a relaxed consultation, either in person, by phone or online, where we chat through ideas, styles, and budget. We regularly guide brides who feel unsure, designing options that are tailored personally to you. Often, we create 3D CAD designs of your pieces and once you’re happy, we move to the creation stage, keeping you involved all the way. Your piece is then beautifully finished and ready for collection or delivery.
What areas of Ireland do you deliver to, and are you based anywhere specific?
The Diamond Expert is an Irish business based in Dublin, but we work with clients all over the world. We ship domestically and internationally, so wherever you are, we make the experience enjoyable and seamless for you. What are your most popular bridal jewellery pieces?
Our brides choose mostly timeless, refined pieces for their wedding day. Classic diamond studs or delicate drop pearls with diamonds. Fine tennis bracelets for the bride and our Constellation bracelets for bridesmaids. Floating diamond pendants are always a favourite and pair effortlessly with most wedding dresses. What’s one of your favourite jewellery designs you’ve created for a bride and why?
One that stands out at The Diamond Expert was a bespoke emerald cut diamond engagement ring paired with a perfectly contoured wedding band designed to sit seamlessly together. It was completely unique to her, modern but timeless and set in a fine yellow gold mount. Seeing how confident she felt wearing it was everything, and that’s what The Diamond Expert is all about.
Any advice for brides-to-be when it comes to finding the right wedding suppliers and accessories?
You’ll always remember who you buy your engagement ring and wedding jewellery from, so buy from someone you like! Make sure it’s someone you can trust with and someone who makes you feel comfortable and informed, not pressured.
